Loose Joint Media is our production platform to develop creative film and television projects.
We're crafting our own work and collaborating with creative talent across the audiovisual spectrum, both locally in rural Herefordshire and across the UK.
Unlike a lot of production companies, we encourage unsolicited material.
We know the barriers can feel overwhelming if you don't have an agent, or you're at the start of your creative journey.
Core to our ethos is to break those barriers. So get in touch.
Ben "Wilf" Williams formed LJM in 2021, after joining the creative industry later in life, following a career spanning advertising, commercial property and private equity businesses.
This strong commercial background is enriched with fine art and creativity by his wife Dora, with his brother Darren bringing over ten years of award-winning broadcast production experience.
Known as Wilf on screen, behind the camera and with his producer hat on he's Ben. After establishing himself as an actor later in life, it was always the case that a strong commercial background combined with a love and devotion to the arts was the next step, and so it is with LJM.
Ben is also a director of a professional theatre company, NPO Powerhouse Creative CiC, as well heading up his own private equity firm, Clearview Industrial.
Dora's background in fine art led her to working in theatre; creating sets, props, costumes and just about anything to add luxurious layers of design to theatre productions. This included much needed “crutches” to needy actors, one of whom was her future husband.
Those creative gifts are harnessed by LJM into visualisation of scripts, helping us develop ideas and see the potential for something to journey from page to screen.
Co-produced with Tower Road Pictures and LBS Films, Door Man was made by a small, dedicated team driven by a passion for indie filmmaking and a belief in the story's quirky view of life, death and the journey between.
Originally conceived pre-pandemic, the project was put on ice for two years and finally came to life in late 2021.
It's scary, funny and a little thoughtful thanks to the abundantly talented bunch without whom it wouldn't have happened.
Who knew so many gifted people were nestled away in rural Herefordshire!
